Some have minds like rock: Their thoughts can be damaged by an angry blow and they will retain the marks for all to see even after a long time.
Some minds are like sand: They also give way and carry a violent message but these marks pass quickly from their thoughts.

  • Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.
  • In the memo field of all your checks, write "for sexual favors."
  • Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the prophecy."
  • Dont use any punctuation marks
  • As often as possible, skip rather than walk.
  • Ask people what sex they are. Laugh hysterically after they answer.
  • Specify that your drive-through order is "to go."
  • Put mosquito netting around your work area. Play a tape of jungle sounds all day.
  • Have your coworkers address you by your wrestling name, Rock Hard <yourname>.
  • When the money comes out the ATM, scream "I won!", "I won!" "3rd time this week!!!!!"
  • Tell your children over dinner, "due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go."
• Get Excited:
  • If you can remain calm, you just don't have all the facts.
  • The things that come to those who wait are what's left behind by those who got there first.
  • You must care or you won't try, and you must try so that you can fail, and you must fail so you can learn and you must learn so you can reliable succeed.
• Be Greatfull
  • The next time you feel like complaining remember: Your garbage disposal probably eats better than thirty percent of the people in this world.
• Be Tollerant
  • Never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

• Be Humble
  • Most 12 step program require that one admit that you are powerless over the problem and that only "a power greater than me/you" can help. Some non-religious people have a very hard time with this. But notice, if you are one person, is it not true that two or 5 or 100 other people are "a power greater than you?" Can your god not be the rest of humanity? What about forces of nature? Are you more powerfull than that? Accepting this fact has helped many good people gain the perspective required to live.
  • When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
  • When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it. Crow is best eaten fresh.
  • When you lose, don't lose the lesson
• Love yourself:
  • Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
  • If you are married, immediatly forget everything you do wrong: There is no point in two people remembering the same thing.
  • Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone else is doing that for you and spending time on it is just distracting you from improveing yourself.
  • You never get mad at anyone other than: Yourself. Anger is guilt with someone elses face pasted on it.
  • Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent; but don't underestimate how often we all are, in fact, incompetent.
  • Age is a very high price to pay for maturity. It just may not be worth it.

  • Bad habits cause 99% of all human misery. Be devoted to improving yours.

...about cats

• For me, the perfect woman would behave just like a cat. Able to care for herself, clean and dainty, loves to be stroked, puts her butt in the air whenever I scratch her back.
• Cleaning:

  Subject: Instructions on how to clean your toilet

  1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.
  2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
  3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid.
  4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.
  5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse".
  6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.
  7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
  8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.
  9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.
