Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4-series Printers

LaserJet 4-Series printers including 4, 4+, 4P, 4Si, and 4V (and corresponding M/MX versions) are supported .

The LaserJet 4L has neither an available SIMM slot nor a font cartridge slot and therefore cannot be supported at present. Support for this printer may be provided by our BOX device.

While flash SIMMs which can be programmed in the LaserJet 5 or 5M are now available, LaserJet 4-series SIMMs programmed in the LaserJet 4 series printers also can be installed in the 5 or 5M and the data on the SIMM can be used (read) to print while in the 5 or 5M. LaserJet 4-series SIMMs cannot be programmed in the 5 or 5M.

The current version of the firmware in the flash SIMM for all the 4-series printers is Version 2.09.

Robotics nuts!

Check out http://www.verinet.com/~dlc/ email: dlc@verinet.com... This guy ROCKS! He has made (and sells but also releases code, docs, etc...) for a number of cool little robotic modules including whiskers, IR proximity detect and remote control, Sonar proximity detect, PWM, Servo, compass. Most of these use the little PIC 12C508 controller which costs basically nothing and is soooo tiny.
The 4 servos, 2400 baud serial servo controller is a wonder of magic and he sells the programmed chip for $8. Wow!
