Number 546 06/13/97 HP LJ 5si prints blank sheet of paper when asked to print status page.

Versions: e-Forms chip v3.0

Description: After installing a e-Forms chip in a LJ 5si, the e-Forms chip prints a blank sheet of paper in place of a status page.

There are several possible explinations for this:

  1. The e-Forms chip has not been initiallized. Erase the e-Forms chip, try to program something to it, and then print a status page.
  2. The e-Forms chip personality is being interferred with by another personality. If a Postscript chip or anything other than RAM is installed, remove it.
