The applet below attempts (but fails) to break applet security by trying to make a network connection to a foreign web server. A security exception will be raised and can be seen in the Java concsole of your browser.

You can type your own url in this version of the applet. But bear the security restrictions in mind.


Applets are allowed to make network connections only to the machine that the applet came from. This is a severe restriction and restricts what can be done with applets.
