Learning the Basics

In this section we'll show you how to:
  1. Open a page you want to edit.
  2. Create a simple web page.
  3. Save a page to your own computer.
  4. Publish a page to the Web.

Remember, this isn't just an online manual -- it's an online workbook. Try the steps as we describe them. Think of this workbook as your own -- it's not a library book, feel free to scribble in the margins, add your own comments, and save your changes.

If you are a new user of the Web and want to learn how to use AOLpress as a Web browser, see "Browsing the Web" in the User's Guide.
