PAGE EJECT COMMANDS

If you are receiving unwanted extra pages or the
printer is not ejecting a page when you expect it to,
one of the following conditions and or commands may be
     the cause.

When the printer has something in its buffer, the form
feed light will be on and a page will be ejected when
any of the following conditions occur:

     1. When the printer receives a FORM FEED control
character from the computer system or from the
form feed button on the control panel of the
printer, the current page will be ejected.

     2. The PERFORATION SKIP REGION is located below the
bottom margin. When the printer's cursor reaches
this region at the bottom of the page, the printer
ejects the current page and transfers the
remaining data to the top margin of the next page.

     3. When the printer receives the PAPER SOURCE CONTROL
SEQUENCE (Ec&l0H) with a value of zero, the
current page will be ejected; or if the printer
receives a paper source command (Ec&l#H) the page
will eject since the printer can only print from
          one source per page.

     4. A RESET (EcE) will eject the current page.

     5. A PAGE SIZE OR PAGE LENGTH command (Ec&l#A) or
(Ec&l#P) will eject the page since the printer can
only format one page size on each page.

     6. An ORIENTATION CHANGE (Ec&l#0) will eject the page
since the printer can only print in one
          orientation on each page.

In addition, if you are using a stand-alone computer
(one that is not connected to a network or sharing
device), check the autoexec.bat and config.sys files
for a line referencing "sp" or "spooler." A line
activating a ram spooler can cause a blank page to be
     ejected between print jobs.

Networks and\or sharing devices are also suspect when
getting unwanted extra pages. Remove these and print
directly to the printer when troubleshooting this
     problem.
