A bit.
But most high wattage compact LEDs are going to have to.

6 die and approaching 15 Watts is a bit above the average Luxeon Star.
And 1000 lumen is above anything available, so far.
Having a 50 Watt tungsten equivalent in a LED lamp will be useful.
Less heat (apparently), long life, good colour temperature control,
more ...
