Track format of magnetic stripe cards

       by Luis Padilla Visdsmine

This page contains an explanation about the format of the three magnetic
tracks in standard identification cards, particularly those used in
financial transactions, i.e., credit and debit cards. It is a summary of the
international standards ISO 7813 (tracks 1 and 2) and ISO 4909 (track 3).
Note that I have not read myself those standards, this document is a
compilation of information I found out there, most of which can be found in
this site or in the links therein.

Xico (and ISO) data formats for magnetic stripe card readers and encoders.
