Not quite sure what you are talking about here :), but it's a minor inconvenience to generate an exact 1000hz output using Timer0
on a PIC running off a 4Mhz crystal.
However, if you use a 4.096Mhz crystal instead, then you can
use a prescaler value of 2 with Timer0, and get exactly 1Khz.

OPTION = 00h    ; TMR0 source=clock, prescaler to TMR0, prescale by 2.
