Might I cheekily suggest using a 555 timer and a
5v or 12v piezo beeper, about $2 in parts total
including the beeper? Was there a reason you wanted
to use such a big complicated expensive chip to
make a beep? Please forgive me if this is part
of a larger PIC project. :o)
