I ALREADY answered this in the very "first" reply to
your query. Yes, the code is the same between the processors,
as they are both 2nd gen PICs and have the same instruction
set. Migration from '84 to '877 is the std path, judging
by comments on previous threads.

HOWEVER, you do have to take into account the different
pinouts and also the different memory maps. This last part,
as it turns out, is what engenders the vast majority of
questions asked in threads with the [PIC]: topic, has been
talked about 100s of times in previous threads, and takes
some getting used to.
