There is no such thing, but imho, there are two interesting sources:

1. A book called 'User friendly GUI design' that is not connected to any
OS maker in particular (I think it is from Prentice-Hall but don't take my
word for it).

2. The most commonly used device that has such a menu - e.g. a cellular
phone for example.
