Hi everyone:

I was wondering if it was possible to  write data permanently into
the EEPROM of the 16c84 once it has been programmed. My application will
basically try to read certain binary data and I want to be able to
retrieve it or use it later on even if the power supply went dead
for a couple of days.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks a lot. Sincerely,

Pedro,
In a word...Yes.
There are 64 bytes of data EEPROM that are there for you and your program to
use.  The data is permenent.  It is intended for configuration info, program
version information, copyright notices etc.
Hope this helps
