Try a few pulsed high-intensity red leds!! There are already a few
build-it-yourself projects around, but basically they are a 555 timer
pulsing some parallel-driven hi-lux red leds via a darlington.
Notwithstanding, it's been my experience that if a motorist REALLY wants to
hit you, he doesn't need a targeting light ;-)
I don't mind dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens...
