Thread: Serial Communications RS232

I have figured the parts needed to do a straight send/no receive RS232.
Can someone explain to me if this is correct.

If I only wanted to send serial, I only need to hook up the transmit line
and the ground(or reference) line.  Any help on PIC code for 1671 to send
this data?
