I just bought a dynamite book on using AutoCad for electronics drafting. It is called Printed Circuit Board Design using AutoCad by Chris Schroeder. It has a utility to convert AutoCad output to Gerber and to Excellon Drill files - Just what I have needed! You gotta buy the book to get the utilities, but it's only about $20..
