'switching Banks'

I am using a PIC 14000 and to preform A/D conversions I have to
read/wite bits in certain registers. Some registers are in Bank0 and
others are in Bank1. What I need to know is weather I have to switch
banks to change these bits and is bank switching accomplised simply by
typing BANK0 or BANK1 in the command collum in an .asm file?
thanks

BANK0 and BANK1 are macro commans, they bit-set or bit-clear file STATUS at
bit #RP0. You can use the bxf STATUS,RP0 or the BANK0/BANK1 to select. I
prefer BANKx and the maco becaue I wont mistake it for another STATUS
operation and it is clear what I am doing just in the command name.
