'solution to telemarketing rejection'

Howdy All,
There's an easy solution to this telemarketing problem
that is right in line with the whole spirit of PICs!
(This actually works, by the way.)
When they call you, just say "Oh, ya sure. Can you hold
on for a second while I tell the person on the other line
that I'll call them back?" They'll say "Sure". Then you
just put down the phone and walk away, making sure you
don't hang up on them. They'll eventually get sick of
waiting and hang up. Go back in 15 or 20 minutes and hang up
your phone. They may try again, so you do something similar.
Strange as it is, after you do this a few times, you'll find
that you don't get *any* more telemarketing calls. They must
all know each other or work off of the same lists or
something because it seems that when you're taken off of one
"good targets" list, you end up being removed from them all.
Sounds odd, but it does work. It's simple, easy, and
effective...just like PICs! :)
Chow for now,
John

Hi all,
There's a game you can play called "Tell Me More" that goes something like
this:
You allowed to say these word: "Uh huh, yeah, ok" and "Tell me more".
If you get to the level of talking with the manager, you get two points, if
you get to talk to their mananger you get five points and so on until they
hang up on you. It takes patients and I haven't ever felt spiteful enough
to do it but I know people who swear by it.
Enjoy.
It's sort of analagous to an event driven RTOS in a PIC. Be sure to set
the watchdog timer.
