Radio shack had a voice recog. chip called a vcp2000 , at least that was what
was stamped on the chip , I will look to see if I can find any of the specs
for you if you like.Just drop me a line and I will research it for you.

Jameco still has the Digi-Talker chip set in their most recent catalogue.
They also have the documentation available at their website.

If memory serves me correct the Radio Shack vcp2000 chip will only emulate
words that would be used in basic robotics like stop go forward back and
simple structure words of that nature. If you want I will look to see if I
still have liturature for the chip I have floating around.
