Thanks for that info!  It was a bit disconcerting to see my first
tentative post rejected :(   I found the SET PICLIST REPRO command and
activated it so I can see my own posts in with the rest.  Would seem
like that should be the default state, and blocking your own posts as
the option.  Anyway, my post DID show up in the next day's DIGEST of
posts (along with my resend, of course)... so I guess I'm moving up
the learning curve and won't bother others with duplicates in the future.

Sure!  That sounds like a great idea for simple light level monitoring.
You may even find it has more resolution than you expect.  But realize
that the TI chips aren't really expensive (don't have current pricing
on hand), so don't rule them out w/o checking.

Thanks so much for your warm welcome to the list!   Russ

It used to be the default state. But we had been getting mailbombed so
bad from unscruplous (sp) advertisers Jory had to move the list which
has the REPRO turned off. He then skipped the country! I guess he can
fix it when he gets back...

Only problem is how to get ahold of them in singles. I know TI is real good
about samples and whotnot but I'd really like to have a Jameco or DIGIKEY
carry stuff...

No problem. BTW when are you guys going to bring the Circuit Cellar BBS
to the internet? After E-mail and a web page this would be the next logical
step...

It's on the net as we speak, try ftp.circellar.com/pub/circellar/. But
the files for last issues isn't available yet. Wonder why ?

Merry Christmas,
