Tell us more when you find out about the injection molding these
swap meet guys can do!  That sounds like the real value.

Molds run $3000 or so, their machine runs the parts with a 2-piece
mold (usually) with the split horizontal (many machines are
vertical-split.)  I think you can work with them to make most any mold
you want, to make any combination of parts you want, in the same mold;
I don't know lots about that business (This may be a beatable price, in
the past I've been lucky to borrow a friend in the business but he's
further behind than *I* am right now, which is not pretty!)  Basically,
once you own the mold, most production runs cost about the same (I.E. a
run of 10,000 pressings costs the same as 5 pressings) so I've wondered
if a mold could be made that solves my PC110 keyboard connector problem
in one corner, & let someone else borrow the other half or two-thirds of
the mold to solve their problem, and split the costs...  (I can sell 400
of this little unit, if I can figure out how to make the connector.
Another field I'm not an expert in <G>)  One person may be getting that
problem solved (I haven't heard back from him, he may have a molding
connection.)

I'll find their address & etc. if anyone is interested (If more than 4
or 5, post to the whole list, I guess.)  otherwise just to who asks.
It's in a "to be sorted" area right now.

They were selling off some variacs / autotransformers & the PIC stuff
& so on (Never know what the local Kent computer swap meet will have!
Secure Cell phones, a CD of 22,000 TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms), 486
momboards, an Advantech 486 biscuit PC, ... <G>)
