Hi Julio! HPGL is a plotter language. Also a lot of laser and inkjet printers understands it. If you have a plotter or printer that understands it you can send it directly to it! Try using DOS "PRINT filename" or "COPY filename LPT1:" commands. Hello Julio If you want to print a HPGL File on a normal Matrix-Printer you could use a Programm called PRINTGL I've used it long time ago to print some EMI-Mesurement-files on an laserprinter It is an GNU-Programm so it's for free. Getting quite a ways off topic here... How about a program that takes a Gerber file (or other standard plotter format) to a GIF file? It would let me put schematics, assembly drawings, etc. on our intranet. Harold, I use GCPREVUE to view the GERBER files and then print them out to a FILE set up as a HP7550 HPGL Plotter. I then run the resultant file(s) through PRINTGL to get a PCX file. Works O.K. for me but it is rather long winded. Anybody got any better ideas ??? > {Original Message removed}

PaintShop Pro 4.14 can read HPGL (and many other formats) directly, and can convert to (and save in) just about any format you need. In addition, it is a full-featured paint program, and you won't regret having it around for many other purposes.
