    Hello,

I'll be running a 17C43 in extended microcontroller mode with external
program ram at 8000h. Seem like I need to use _MAXRAM to tell MPASM
that memory is valid out there.

    But...

I can't get the _MAXRAM directive to accept an argument of any size.
I'm running MPASM v1.40 which is the latest on the bbs.

Anyone out there successfully used _MAXRAM? What did your source line
    look like?

I think, it's __MAXRAM, with two underscores. (I don't have the
manual at hand).

That's because you're spelling it wrong, Brian.

"__MAXRAM" is spelled with TWO underscores, not one.

Brian:

I had a similar problem with __config.  Note there are TWO underlines
in front of __MAXRAM (not a single underline _MAXRAM).

I think this is some kind of secret code to make our lives more
difficult.

Have Fun,
Brooke
