Hello all,

(sorry its not quite PIC related)

Does anyone know a source in the UK for ZN429E-8, an 8 bit DAC, used
to be Ferranti, then GPS?.  Only require a small number 10.

It seems that many ZN devices have disappeared as obsolete devices.
Why is this ?  Even the 428 DAC and 448 ADC.  Seing that these are
quite widely used parts, why have they suddenly disappeared?

Is there a direct replacement for the ZN429-8 or is someone else
manufacturing it under different part number?

NB I am keen to find the parts as board has already been made, and
populated (almost fully !!)

TIA

GPS stopped making most of the Plessey linear and Ferranti devices about
a year ago.
