'Yow! I blew up my pic!'
In mlist.pic you write:
>I have 2 comparators with their outputs running to RA0 and RA1.
>Depending on the logic levels of RA0 and RA1, the chip will count
>up or down and output to all 8 bits of Port B which then runs to
>a 4016 Quad Bilateral Switch.
What are you driving on the other side of the switch? Sounds like
you are pulling too much current. You might want to buffer the
data output with a 244.
I used Mike Keitz's suggestion of checking out what's going on between
the port pins and the Vdd. Here are the results:
All pins have around 5 Meg Ohms between Port pin & Vdd
except RB0 - Vdd : where I get about 1.6K ohms.
So- I guess I blew the RB0 port.
Next Question: Obviously with this blown port, I can no longer
program the chip in serial mode, - but is it possible to program
it in Parallel mode?
