'X10 on PICs?'

Does anyone know of any public work going on to send / receive X10 commands
using a PIC?
Obviously it's possible; the X10 ActiveHome device uses a 16C58A, the Basic
Stamp II (based on
a PIC?????) also does some X10 functions. I'm just wondering what effort would
be required..

I am just finishing a project that uses a 16C84 to receive X10 commands from
a TW523 X10 line interface.  The application controls 8 Triacs that drive
low voltage AC to control sprinklers.

I'd be happy to share the code (such as it is) and other details with
anyone who is interested.

There is a shareware PIC library that contains X10 stuff. I have a copy
at ftp://ftp.scruz.net/users/cichlid/public/piclib-0.21
It's pretty old and I don't know where it's current home is.

For Dr. Cheungs current information and projects you might try the
following web page:

I know Dr. Cheung continues to work on X-10 and PIC related hardware.
Hope this helps!

Hello,
I've been trying to access Dr. Cheung's Web page that was posted
yesterday.  The web address below works fine, but this does not seem to
be his main site.  When click on the link that seems to be the main site
http://198.118.120.41/  I get a message that says:
       Too many users
There are too many connected users. Please try again later.

Has anyone else had any luck connecting to this site?  Is it down or is
it just really busy since it was posted to the PIC List?

       Thanks,
       Eric Thompson
