I wanted to try a new application using the subject PIC and went
to my trusty DigiKey catalog and they are not listed.  Does
anyone know where I can get these devices in small quantities?

Thanks, Gene.

I Haven't bought Any PIC's in the past...(haven't built the programmer yet),
but I've heard that Microchip is pretty expensive.  Anyways...this is the
only place i've seen them...
but try searching http://www.findchips.com for whatever processor you are
looking for.

BTW I just searched Digikey for the 16F877 and returned 6 results.

Hope this helps.
Rick.

You can get them from Digi-key.
Check http://www.digikey.com

I order several back in November and got some of the first
20MHz '877s available

Right now they have 1372 available at just under $15.

check out

I have the PIC16F873-04/P, PIC16F876-20/P, PIC16F877-04/P at http://www.phanderson.com/ordering.html.

These along with the PIC16F84-04 and -10 are also available at Amazon zShops ( http://www.amazon.com ).  Search on PIC16F84, etc.

Thanks all for the info.  I vaguely remembered something about a place to
search for chips but could not remebmer the actual name and could not
turn up something by searching.  A great service.  Also Peter Anderson
was referenced, I do not see how he does it.  Such great service and good
prices.

Thanks again, Gene.
