Exactly that what I was about to say, actually with Tic-Tac, but not sure if

Why not just put the circuit on a 1/2" x 1/2" PCB, attach flying leads, then
dip the PCB in
a can of Plasti-Dip? The coating is incredibly rugged.

I have often used the little tin boxes that altoid products come in, There
are several sizes available whereever candy products are sold. I have even
bought Altoid MintsTins in groups of 15 on eBay
