What's an OCX?
Are you using NT or Win95?
You can write Win95 utilities to twiddle I/O ports directly,
as I did, but NT traps such operations if you haven't been
granted I/O permission. I haven't discovered how to do this yet,
and it probably is a pain. Someone posted me a DLL to do
various peeks and pokes, but it seemed very large just for the
job of letting you use a few I/O opcodes.
Plus it didn't have any source. :-(
Take a look at http://www.lvr.com (the site from Jan Axelson), there's a
lot of info on printer ports,
includind drivers for VB and Delphi.
