I use a twin tube UV exposure unit to handle photosensitive PCBs. Is this
powerful enough to erase erasable PICs.?

Most UV-exposure units uses light with a wavelength of around 370nm. Eprom
needs 253.7nm (UV-C) if you dont want to wait forever for them to erase.

And forever means 'really' forever - UV box tubes will NOT erase
devices.
