It means (for me): shut the **** up, man.

Or in the form of a self-denigrating e-mail signature:

Loquaciousness is inversly proportional to intelligence!

Sigh! I've fallen victim to a Bonnerism(*).

Ake, maybe you're new to the list and unfamiliar with my (and other's)
subtle humor. I'm sorry if this comment offends anyone. I in fact sent a
private apology to Peter. I've been subscribe to the piclist for over two
years and have developed sufficient callouses from repeatedly pressing the
delete key. I've been both a victim and participant of 'loquaciousness',
and am neither offended nor mind being offensive.

Scott

(*) Bonnerism - the act of making what appears to be a funny or innocent
comment only to find that you and three other people found humerous and
everyone else in the world was offended. Attributed to Matt Bonner.

PS. Anyone care to describe a Venusian bird to Mr. Hedman?

Someone once sad

"I may hate the things you say but I would give my life for your right to
say it." ( Think it was Bertrand Russel but I can be wrong).

This is (IMHO) the issue here as well. People can say things in many words,
few words, in a high voice, vispering. I just love the long essays written
by some picers but still enjoy many of the short answers from others. I even
understand some of your jokes Scott. The point is that I really don't care
how many times someone is posting as long as he/she (is there any..) has
something to say ( long or short).

Lets dicuss the pic and related technology instead of this crap.

I just thought it meant that I was a helpful fellow, or at least
honestly attempting to be one.

Only if he was quoting Voltaire

One man's crap is another man's jewel. The price of being able to make your
own decisions about relevance is your tolerance of exposure to other
people's ideas about same - ideas that you may consider useless or
offensive. Since the delete key is so easy to find, this has always seemed
like a great bargain to me.
