Does anyone have any information on the linkup that the TI-86 uses to
connect to a computer? I'm interested in building my own cable for it...

Go to http://www.ticalc.org or http://www.ti-files.com (I believe. It might be org too).
They will have sections on links.

Just FYI, I tried to build the parallel link, and two serial links, and
none of them worked. I ended up going out and buying a TI GraphLink that
has been troublefree. From what I understand, many people have problems
with these homemade links.
