'Status of PIC16F818'

Hi guys,
I have been working on a project using the PIC16F818 - actually it started
life needing a PIC16F627 or PIC16F628, but I realised that A/D would be a
huge plus.
No problem, quick search of the website, PIC16F818 - Flash, same pinouts -
nice!
But I just noticed tonight that it's one of those infamous "Future Product"s
:-(
Anybody know if they are already available or pretty close? Microchip is
notorious for not updating those sections of the web. I notice they always
get their sexy new development tools up on the front page - quick smart! :-)
Regards,
Sean

Im not sure why, but the 818/819 are still mentioned as 'future poduct'
at the uChip site, yet I could buy them from my supplier without much
delay. If you want a few: I sell them at
http://www.voti.nl/shop/products.html. If you want a lot you'd better
contact your regular supplier. My Wisp628 does program these chips (of
course the protocol is slightly diffrenet rom previous chips - you can
trust uChip to do so), but I occasionaly have problems when /MCLR is
configured as Input pin.
BTW one drawback compared to a 628: no UART. And note that the default
internal frequency is 32 kHz, but the program itself (!) can switch it
(up to 8 MHz!).
