'SX programming specifications'

According to Scenic web site,

"Final programming specifications for the SX are dependent on production
revision devices. Anticipated availability
for this specification in this datasheet is 12/97, in conjunction with
production sample availability."

Does anyone already have programming specifications? And can he/she release
them? I understand, that samples are already available. Maybe I am not the
only one interested...

The 12/97 datasheet says that Scenix are keeping programming specs secret
for the time being. They are available under NDA. I don't know if Parallax
are going to release the programming protocol between the PC and the
SX-Key. That could be useful for some applications.

They claim this is due to pending patent applications.

At the Embedded Systems Conference last fall, they said they definitely
would make that information available.  It makes sense, since it will help
sell SX-Keys.

I've been too busy hacking code for a Scenix for a project at work to
try to get the information from Parallax, but I'll call them next week.
I desperately need command-line programming capability from both
DOS and Linux.
