Anybody know where to find RGREP (recursive grep) for Win95/NT?  I'm running
into dead-ends.

I need to search a bunch of source directories for piece of text.

Thanks.

Grep is available as part of the Borland C++ compiler.  And it is pretty
much POSIX compliant. It does subdirectory recursion - I use it a lot on NT
and '98/'95.

The Borland C++ package is now free.  Go to
http://www.inprise.com/about/press/2000/bcppcompiler.html .  I will make a
rash assumption that the grep utility is in the free package .. it has been
in all the Borland compilers since about 4.x (IIRC).

I recommend:

Search & Replace for Win 3x 95/NT, Funduc Software, Inc.

OK. Grep is in the free Borland 5.5 compiler at http://www.inprise.com.  I just
installed the compiler on another machine and found grep.exe.  I like it
better than the Windoze search since I'm usually at a DOS prompt and it
seems faster (IMHO).
