Take a part with the same psyhical footprint and spend a few minutes to change it. John..... Just define it as a "user defined" part, and select DIP18 package, using the MACRO feature of MPLAB. The macro feature allows you to name the pins to match with the names used by MCHP. You can then use that DIP in a schematic and in pc layout with TRAX. Hope that helps.
