I recently purchased the Myke Predko book, "Programming and Customizing the PIC Microcontroller". I also have the Parallax programmer which I have used to program Basic Stamp I programs to PIC 16C58A's. My question is: Can I use the Parallax programmer to perform the experiments in the Predko book using PIC 16F84's? Any help is greatly appreciated, Max Toole Electronic Innovations, Inc.

I'm ignorant because I only used MPASM for one project (HCS decoder rewrite) and had to enter the data manually. It wasn't in the source file - just a set of comments on how to set things. What does MPASM do differently? Thanks.
