Hi,

I've just dug out an (ancient) PICPRO(2?) programmer and no longer have the DOS
software for it. Can anyone help in this department or maybe point me to where I
could download a copy of it? I imagine this old thing is obsolete but we want to
program some 16C54s up! It would appear the Microchip have washed their hands of
it as a search on their site didnt return a wealth of results.

Thanks in advance,

Dan Lloyd

PS: Apologies about length of disclaimer.

That site has the P16Pro DOS software and Picall Windows software. Very well
done.

You cannot program the 16C54 with that programmer in any case. The propic
is a
"tait style" programmer good only for the serially programmed PICs.

You will need access to a programmer that can program 16C5x parts. These are
in a minority of all programmers.

Ha, least I'm not the only one who read it that way the first time!  ;)    He
has the PICPRO, not the PROPIC.  Almost as bad as some of the subdivisions
around here, with streets like Pine Nut and Pine Cut etc (like 30 streets all
Pine 'some short word here'), all in one development.  Will have to call mine
the Toilet Paper Programmer or something, just so there isn't a 'Pic' something
in the title..  Hmm that's an idea, maybe even punch and read holes in TP, cheap
hardcopy program storage..  And might come in handy when you run out.  Whoops I
just 'used' my only copy of that program, have to go get it back out of the
commode..
