'PIC] Port names on 16F505'
The 16F505 has only B and C ports. No A port?
Seems like they use to start with A?
Do they save A Port designation for pins that can do A/D now?

Most micro families do this now.. The B port has specific features that are
different from the A port, and the C port, so in different versions of the
device, you might have all of all three (or more) ports, or you might have
just a couple pins of one port available, but if you are using A3, it
behaves the same as every A3 in that family.
Thanks Dave, that was bugging me!
