You had a problem with a laser printed transparency? We use that
technique to make boards in the lab I work at, and it works like a charm.
We use an Apple laser printer (don't remember the model off hand), and we
have had no problems with spotting or pinholes.

I had trouble with making PCBs with my HP640 inkjet and HP transparencies
as well. I used a fine point ink pen to clean them up. I'll try premium
paper mode.

Try using Drafting Film instead of HP Transparencies - it works like a
charm for me on both my LJIIID and DJ600 8-)
