Yes, but without American programs (or "programmes"), you'd be
staring at a blank screen.

Or maybe televised dart games.  Horrible!  Thank god for Baywatch!

The greatest of them all...................Golf tournaments

To quote Billy Connelly "Miles and miles of televised sky !"

Never Twice the Same Colour

Probably preferable.
We're blessed with a lot of both US, and (nowadays, thank heavens)
UK material on our screens here.
There's no comparison between them tho'.

If you turn the sound off, babewatch is able to compete against the goldfish

But then we in  the USA have good old Benny Hill Show and Keepin Up Apperances
with Hyason  (excuse my spelling if wrong) from the good old UK. These give us a
good outlook on life in the UK.

Bob,

I think you forgot to delete the word "good" during the final edit
of your posting.

...or baseball games ...or American football games.  Just like cricket...
a couple of seconds of action then a big wait for the next play, next pitch,
next ball or whatever.

Hi, Guys!

I saw some Goats on Afghanistan TV lately!
No matter what system they use.. it looked Great! They play kind of Polo
with it.
Much more amusing than Benny Hill, we are plagued by that in Holland too.
By the way, I once owned a British van, Bedford, and yes, it leaked oil.
The UK manufactured outboard engine I had was worse, it leaked (spit out) shaft
bearings. And failed, the Bedford didn't.
Are we not getting very, very off-topic now?

Just wonder...

Write this to test my signature too.. tried to find a thread where I would not
disturb anybody...

To provide for the possibility that my signature still doesn't work:

Bye to you all,

Wim van Bemmel

I understand that "staring at a blank screen" is the view most non-hollywood
film makers have on action movies... :-(

I'd rather watch The Simpsons than to get your communist spam in my mailbox.

By the way, what sick person created a mailing list server where one cannot
unsubscibe if one is no longer able to use the same From address as was used
