There is none that I know of that deal specifically with PIC's. Try going
to http://dejanews.com and doing an "interest finder" search. It'll search
the news groups for articles containing your search terms, and comes back
with a list of appropriate news groups.

Take a look at Microchip's homepage:
http://www.microchip.com/
they have several newsgroups.

I just can't figure why all you PIC people don't use them !

Been there done that...

I could be wrong here but,
My problem with newsgroups is:  I have to stay online to view the
messages.

It might be schlep to receive 100-odd messages daily but it takes me
less than 3 minutes to download them. And about an hour to read them
all. This would be a great no-no if I had to read them on-line.

It's nice for all you people who have a permanent link at work (or
home?), but I dial-up from home and I pay for the time I use.

So - does anyone know of a mailing list for robotics?
Thanks

Eric:

No, you don't... Not if you use a decent newsreader that can
download all the articles and let you read and respond to them
off-line.

My favorite's called "Agent"; there's a free, slightly-crippled
version called "Free Agent" that you can download from:
