I was not aware that the PIC-master was actually that low. My mistake was
quickly browsing the Digikey catalog and seeing the PICmaster WITH
Pro-mateII for $3400 or so. I see that Digi has the emulator alone for
$2500, which I can beat down through the distributor, and also in light of
the fact that there were no other comments on the question, I see that my
mind is pretty much made up.
Just an aside to you, I have a nagging problem that I should have an answer
to by tomorow, but it has hounded me for a long time. You previously
answered the vague question months ago with 'must be the code'. When I
start an A/D conversion on a 73A, and I am still in an int routine while
the A/D finishes and thus the interrupt doesn't get serviced right away, I
get +-2 bits of noise on my A/D result. As soon as I cut other chunks of
code out, it goes back to rock steady readings. My problem has been that I
can't just cut the code out and run. I have a real juggling nightmare of
interrupts, and can't do that. Tech in Arizona has no answer to the
problem, and I presume it is an undocumented eratta. I am awful close to
the answer and will get back to you.
