'Microcontroller and Related Suppliers'
I am currently writing the "TAB Electronics Microcontroller Handbook" for
McGraw-Hill. In this book, I will be introducing the reader to the
1. Atmel AVR
2. Intel i8051 (and various second source products)
3. Motorola 68HC05 (and 68HC08)
4. Microchip PIC
5. Parallax Basic Stamp
I would like to list companies that sell these Microcontroller related
products and services.
If you would like your company represented, please reply to this note
directly to me (and not back to the list) with the following information:
City, State/Provice, Country:
Microchip Representative (Y/N):
Other Development Tools (Y/N):
Description of Products and Services (No more than 150 words):
I will confirm E-Mail IDs and Web Sites and if there are any problems, I
will contact you. Please make sure your address and phone number is correct.
As I am expecting to be swamped with replies, I would appreciate it if you
do everything you can to make it easy on me. If I can't understand
something, I will ask only ONCE for clarification. I did this for my first
book, "Programming and Customizing the PIC Microcontroller", and I did have
some problems with some websites; if your website has material that I
consider inappropriate (ie pornography or political messages) I will explain
what the problem is and give you to the deadline (November 28th, 1997) to
change it and reply to me.
Deadline to reply to this note is Friday November 28th, 1997 (my deadline is
Feb 18th to deliver the manuscript); any replies received after this date
will be ignored.
I have sent this request out to multiple lists; if you know of somebody not
on either list that should be included, I would appreciate it if you passed
this request on to them. I also apologize that if you are subscribed to
multiple lists and you get this message in multiple places.
When published, the information will be broken up into the following
catagories *by device* (except for consultants):
Compilers/Software Development Tools
Useful Web Sites
Consultants will be placed in a separate appendix. If you are a consultant,
please make sure you indicate clearly what devices you support.
I will put the full information of the Companies in the catagory that best
suits it. If a company has a product that fits into multiple catagories, I
will place a pointer to the full listing.
All companies will be listed in alphabetical order.
Please contact me if you have any questions/concerns.

Why not the Scenix? It is more PIC-like than the PIC! Have a look at
the new press-release at ftp://ftp.scenix.com/public_html/sx_release.pdf
It makes for good reading. I think the boardroom table at Microchip will
be wet with tears after reading it.
