The CD is available on the 'Literature Request' page at:

       http://www.microchip.com/10/Lit/Contact/Lit/index.htm

However, I have requested one both by mail and by internet and have yet to
receive it. I would suspect you will get more rapid response from direct
contact with a salesperson.

I think I will e-mail Digikey customer service and suggest they
sell it for a 'nominal' price. At least that will make it available.
Anyone else.....?  Digikey has a somewhat different customer
relations repution than Microchip (or nearly anyone else!)

I've had good luck initially, since then my FAE hasn't returned my
e-mails, so I'll second that thought.  Sell it for 5 cents or something,
plus shipping, should work!

If you request one of the Flash packs at the following site
you will get some information about the new flash mcu's
as well as a free documentation CD.  You just need
to fill out some information.  Hopefully it will arrive in about
a week:

http://www.microchip.com/10/promos/flash/survey.htm

Hope this helps,

Michael Barker

I requested one of those and it came *without* a
CD. They must have some sort of scoring on
that "survey". :-(

They already do sell it at a reasonable price. They also sell the other
documentation components.

Since I can download items from the internet, I haven't yet had to buy the
CD. However, as the printed pages have added up as I've investigated
different chip families, the CD is beginning to look very attractive.

For some reason, I can't get MicroChip's sales representative to call on
me, although I have to admit I haven't tried very hard to get it to happen.
(I've only started working with PICs a month and a half ago.)

I did this too, but got only the 'flash pack' sales literature, but no CD.

I was hoping this would include the CD.  I haven't actually ordered
this pak, but figured it would be included since they sent it with all
the other packs I have ordered.  The last one I ordered was the
Advanced Analog Pack which included the latest (July 1999) CD.

Try ordering the Advanced Analog Power Pack and hopefully it
will include the CD, as mine did:
http://www.microchip.com/10/promos/analog/survey.htm

Sorry about the confusion with the Flash Pack suggestion,

Michael Barker

IIRC, mine came with a CD also. Perhaps there is "scoring" ;-)

On looking after someone pointed it out, Digi-Key item # DS00161-ND, $
3.30, is the "CD-Rom Microchip Technical Library".  Beats no answer to
e-mail to Microchip, I suppose!
