Been there, done that. I was able to read track 1 and 2 concurrently with no
problem. I didn't buffer the wole thing, I only needed to extract a few fields,
on the fly. I also have a MS keyboard wedge that uses a 16C54 to do the mag
stripe decode and the PC keyboard encode. It auto-detects XT/AT keyboards.
