Walt: The Cui-Stack parts mate well with eachother. The problem is the MD-80 does not fit into a macintosh port, and if you "mike" the connector shroud it is about .007" larger than a good fitting mac plug. I ordered a few from Mouser to see if maybe Digikey got a bad lot or something. Same problem. Anyone selling it should say in their ad, "Not Mac compatible" and spare folks the heartburn. I would like to thank all those who responded to this. The best lead I had looks like the Jameco #111878 which is only $.55 100+. I have samples on order and can't wait to see if they fit. Jameco is also currently having a close out on 6' mac printer cables for only $2.49, and I also ordered some of these to see how I like the cut-and- solder approach. John {Original Message removed}
