'MPLAB 3.31 and Internet Explorer 3.02'

Hi,
I am using MPLAB 3.31 while downloading a file with
Internet Explorer 3.02 minimized (win'95). I found that downloading
crushes whenever. Without MPLAB running there are no problems.
Have anyone experienced such problem ?

I haven't encountered this exact problem (but then I don't use Explorer - in
case anyone hasn't heard, Netscape Navigator is now free) however I have
encountered
similar interactions between MPLAB and other programs, where you simply can't
run them at the same time or one will crash.
Cheers, Clyde

When I am running internet explorer 4.01 and MPLAB 3.31, MPLAB crashes
on me
and I can't out. I'm using NETSCAPE now and I've had no problems.
Netscape is much better any how.

I have tried a few versions of MSIE3, but all have often crashed. I could
not see any interference with a special program. Netscape runs much more
reliable. But now I only run Opera. If you have not yet tried it, get it!
http://opera.nta.no
It is fast!, uses screen space efficiently, nice link edit, zoom, etc.
It has all of tables, javascript etc, but not (yet) java language.
Well worth a try!

I've had so many crashes with netscape 3.01
recently that I had been contemplating using Internet Explorer
or suicide, but couldn't decide on the lesser of the two evils.
I couldn't get netscape communicator to work(god what did they do to
it!!)
I have now installed netscape 3.04. No crashes yet (3 weeks).
Well worth upgrading.

I've noticed funny things related to MPLAB - the clock on the task bar
sometimes does not advance(like for hours) and crashes the computer if
dial-up networking is hung up when MPLAB's task button is the highlighted
one.
WARP(Cypress' VHDL tool) does the same thing.
Good stuff, eh?

I attempted to reproduce this with a recent version of MPLAB and was
unable to do so, so I was a little quick off the mark. I have to conclude
that whatever the problem was that I saw it's been fixed.

Hi Bob
I've got the '95 task bar at the bottom, and it usually screws up the MPLAB
status bar.

I've had a few nasties with MPLAB + PICMaster + MS Word. It is not
repeatable, but I try to not have both apps open at the same time.
