Fellow PIC Listers, As many people will say "MICROCHIP lacks customer satisfaction!!" I personally d isagree! Today I received a M-CHIP shirt that is great. I requested a copy of th ere Embedded Control Handbook (mine somehow disappeared!) two weeks ago and not only received the ECH but I also received the new Third Party Guide (1998) and t he shirt!!! Starfire Zhu.....you can TRY to steal other peoples software and copy MCHIPs IC. ...but you'll never beable to compete with M-CHIP!! They have something you ... ......................."CLASS!!" Hi, if this is so (I believe) then I will repeat my query to Microchip to give me (with non-disclosure, of course) the serial protocol of Picstart Plus. I have asked three times, and have got only one reply half year ago "we are forwarded your query". Steven, too bad you where not here (2, 3 months ago ...) when several people complained about the fact the requests for information stayed unanswered for a period of several months. I myself tried to obtain an answer form MicroChip regarding the Bulk-erase of a 16C84. Never got one. Steven, Bill gates is now being sued because of his ways to eliminate competition, even when the competition supplied all the data to work with in the first place (Java). Are you using DOS and/or W95/98 ?? Works well. If they mail it to you, it is even better. CDROM's, on the other hand, make nice coffee coasters.
