Hi all,

I'm about to select a few MAXIM ADC's in a muxed RMS converter
design with the correct Analog Devices chip etc. Some of the items
on maxim's web page are generally unavailable  http://www.maxim-ic.com  and
I'm wondering which are the most readily available or usable.

Anyone have experience with the MAX1202,1203,1204, 147, 148, 181, 148, 192 ??

Or anyone suggest/recommend another 8 channel 10/12 bit ADC with serial
interface ?

Recently I had to choose a 12 bit serial A/D to hook up to a PIC16C84.
I searched at Maxim and received free samples of Max186. But it is
really too expansive! I searched for another one and found the one I am
using now: 3 times cheaper in quantities, 12 bits serial, about 2 1/2$.
It is TLC2543 from TI. A good choice. I have got code for it too.
By the way, it's a dil18 (also SMD parts) and has 11 mux analog inputs

Thanks David,

This is a very interesting device indeed - just downloaded the .PDF
files for the chip and application notes, my local agent should (might)
have them in stock.

Did you have any problems with digital noise coupling into the analog
acquisition - ie did you have to digitally filter any of the outputs ?

From know on, I only used one input, but I have to handle signals with
low frequencies... Sorry.
